Wedding Update

September 18, 2023

Hello,

Mike and I have been working with our wedding coordinator, Diane, as well as the rep from Beaches to finalize more details for our wedding and I wanted to share some updates with you.

Important RSVP information! Beaches requires us to fully pay for the wedding 60 days prior to arriving. This means that if you are attending the wedding in Jamaica, you must have your reservation booked prior to March 01, 2024. If you do not book your reservation prior to March 01, 2024, you will not be able to attend.

For additional excurisons, we have signed up for the YS Falls Experience on May 5th. If you would like to join, please feel free to reach out to Diane and request to be added with us.

Also, in leau of a reception dinner, we encourage guests to add on the Reggae Sunset Catamaran Cruise excursion for May 7th. We feel this will be a great way to enjoy the evening together before we say "I do" in a more island-y way. To add this to your package, please reach out to Diane and she will add this to your reservation.

Last, we have decided on a dress code for the wedding. We understand it's going to be warm, so we asking guests to abide by a beach attire, semi-formal dress code. Our ceremony is on the beach and our cocktail hour and reception are at the Montepeliar Tiki Huts...so think light and linen!

For men, a button-down shirt, and linen or khaki slacks or chinos is a great option. A suite jacket, or blazer, and tie are optional to help with comfort.

For women, a flowy maxi or midi dress, cocktail dresses, or jumpsuit is a great option. A beach hat and shoes are optional. Also, for the women we ask that the color ocean/twilight blue, and really all blues, be avoided if possible. Its a smaller wedding and to help distinguish our wedding party from guests we are asking the small favor of avoiding a blue dress.

If you have any questions, you can always reach out to myself or Mike personally, or you can check out our FAQ page which goes over common questions.

That's it for now. As we make more final decisions, I will be sure to share them in the blog post. Thank you for reading!
