He then transferred to UW-Superior where he originally was going to play basketball, but found out that telling players to run was a lot more fun than running himself. The love for coaching basketball blossomed from there and it led him to his next stop at then Augustana College. Collin completed his undergraduate then pursued a M.A. in Education from Augustana.

Two weeks before graduation, Collin was offered and accepted a position to coach at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He was down there for 3 years and helped turn the program around from 6 wins to 18 wins in their 3rd year. Collin is a true "momma's boy" so when an opportunity to come closer to home presented itself he had to take it. Collin came back to now Augustana University in 2014 and has been blessed to experience great success winning the 2016 National Championship.
