From friends to an inseparable coupled, AJ and Alexis met through luck and happenstance. AJ was moving around the country looking for a place with great people and a unique culture. Alexis moved from Michigan looking to spread her wings and try something new. As mentioned, they met through luck. Friends meeting new friends and groups joining groups, they started their friendship through yard games and adventures. While the groups slowly separated, one fateful day brought Alexis and AJ together again. At an outdoor bar, Alexis surprised the group he was with. After a huge hug from AJ they both rejoined the table and enjoyed the afternoon with their friends, but Alexis wanted more. She liked AJ, like really liked AJ and was not leaving that night without getting his number. She thought about it for a while and decided she was going to make her move! After inviting AJ up to the bar, she placed her phone in front of him and said, “I’m going to be really forward, and you’re going to put your number in my phone.” AJ didn’t hesitate. He immediately accepted her phone, laughed, and set the speed record for falling head over heels in love. That moment was the start of two people becoming one. One couple that will be more committed than any struggle thrown their way. After 2.5 years, AJ decided to ask Alexis to marry him under the sparkling lights of Georgetown, TX. Even though she blacked out during that moment, she was able to squeeze out a “hell yeah”! This bring us to today, AJ and Alexis are so honored to have any family and friends that are willing to make the trip out to Curaçao to celebrate their marriage. We hope to see you there!
