Our Story
Initial Meeting
It was Christmas Eve 2018, Angelica was invited to do a puzzle at her friend Margarette's. She arrived quite a few hours later due to her family celebrating Christmas. She thought it was just going to be Margarette but to her surprise when she got there her brother Aaron was there too.
We thought we had finished the puzzle by the time Angelica got there but she was the missing piece all along. Margarette could sense the connection and went to bed early despite it being her house and her friend. From that day forward we spent almost every day of Aaron’s leave seeing each other until he had to go back to Texas; but as you can tell, the story didn’t end there. Seven long months later, after countless skype dates with wine and movies, the Minnesota girl who said she’d never leave was moving to Texas.
Fast forward 5 years and we have a furry filled family of Paxton (Bubba), Tito (Burrito) and Gizmo (Momo) but it was time to make our family official.
The Big Day
Suspicions arose when Aaron made reservations at Tower of the Americas for a late dinner to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July. The day finally came and upon departure Angelica sought out the anticipated box shaped bulge that would represent their future but alas none was seen and we left for what was thought to be an “ordinary” dinner.
The night started beautifully as we arrived to see one of the finales happening at a nearby park right underneath our noses. We were then directed to our windowside table to enjoy the spectacles occurring in every direction around the city. It was a long time coming but Aaron could still feel the nerves throughout the evening on deciding when was the right moment and when he saw the sparkle in Angelica’s eyes after some particular bright fireworks he knew.
The time was right and Aaron pulled out the ring from under the table and asked “Do you want to be my Hunny Bunny forever?”
