It was Easter Sunday, 2022 when Jade consulted with her friend Tianna on whether it was a good idea to meet up with a guy who looked like he climbed straight out of the anime Dragon Ball Z and described himself as owning a big dog. Full of love with lots of energy. 

Her reply, "Only one way to find out."

By April 2023, Jade and Jackson were moving in together, taking a trip to the Dominican Republic, and were continuing to create memories together shared by their family and friends.

Fast forward to April 2024 and it was time to celebrate their 2 year anniversary with some skydiving! At least that was the plan. The weather thought differently. With skydiving no longer being an option, they decided to do a handful of activities during the day and to go to the same Korean bbq restaurant they went to for their first date that night.

Jackson led Jade to a private room and when Jade opened the door she was surprised to see Jackson's family, her two friends, and her mom waiting in the private room.

Surprised by everyone's appearance, especially her mom who lives in Maryland, Jade turned around to see Jackson on one knee with a ring in his hand. Through the tears that she doesn't normally shed, she said yes!

The future Shillidays are extremely excited for their special day and can't wait to celebrate with their family and friends.
