Schuyler and Jennifer first met in March 2022. The couple were in Barbados studying at Ross University School of Medicine when they connected through classmates and created an instant chemistry. While a relationship wasn't on either of their radars as busy students, the more time they spent together, the more their love organically grew.

Uncertainty regarding how a long-distance relationship could be maintained upon leaving the island in April 2023 was formed, as Schuyler is a Tennessee resident and Jennifer lives in Illinois. Despite the odds, the couple decided to give it a try. Between traveling by air and car, they made their relationship official in June 2023. 

Fast forward to October 2024 when these two made the decision to spend the rest of their lives together, as they became engaged in Chicago. These soulmates had the pleasure of introducing their families to each other and begin the wedding planning process. It goes to show that some of the best things in life happen when you least expect them.

We chose to have the ceremony in Barbados, the Caribbean island where our story began. We're truly excited to celebrate with our immediate family at Sandals, and return to Tennessee to be among the rest of our family and friends for a reception. The decision was made to be cost-effective, while also including those people we hold near and dear to our hearts. We hope not to offend anyone, as only our parents and siblings will be traveling for this destination wedding. Thank you for your understanding, love, and support! We cannot wait to see everyone!
