Our Story! 

Lucy and Joshua met in 2021 while working at Turtle Bay.  Although for Josh it was love at first sight, for Lucy it was less so due to his lack of mopping abilities (flooding the floor). 

After a year and a half of becoming close friends despite Josh's many attempts to be more along the way, Lucy FINALLY caved in and they started dating!! Due to Lucy being Josh's manager at the time they had to keep things on the down low until they knew this was more than just a summer fling (it took them 2 weeks). While they figured out where they wanted this newfound romance to go, they went on many dates outside of Colchester so they could keep things secret. Their first one was at Braintree Freeport. A jackpot for Lucy! As the day consisted of lots of shopping which Josh LOVED! Followed by a nice romantic dinner where Lucy had a SINGLE glass of wine and was tipsy. After many more fun dates, Josh asked Lucy to be his girlfriend and they went public with their relationship. 

When summer ended, Josh packed up his things and left for University. This was something that was hard for them both but brought them closer together as a couple due to the stronger emotional connection they were able to form whilst living apart. 

By the summer of 2024, Josh was ready to pop the question and on August 20th, he got down on one knee at his Grandads beautiful villa in Spain. It took him a while to get the words out due to his nerves but he got there in the end and of course, Lucy said YES! 

We are looking forward to now planning our beautiful wedding in Jamaica and coming back to celebrate with all our family and friends!
