Read here for some answers to questions you may have.

What is the dress code?

Dress code is Semi-Casual (No sneakers or jeans)

Women: Cocktail dress, dressy jumpsuit, dress slacks and blouse

Men: Suit (tie optional), button-down shirt and dress slacks

Our cocktail hour will take place on the beach and our reception will take place on a grassy area, so ladies, please keep this in mind when choosing your footwear! Please note that all events will take place outdoors in the afternoon/evening so bring a light jacket to keep warm if needed.

What is the best way to RSVP and what is the deadline?

The best way to RSVP is on this website on the homepage next to schedule of events button. Click on the RSVP button and complete the form. Please do not RSVP until you have reserved room. 

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Sandals Montego Bay will be the only hotel we have blocked rooms for our wedding weekend. We are using the traveling company Traveling Bags to book hotel and flight reservations. There is a payment plan available for all guests so it can be less of a financial burden. 

 Are pets allowed at the hotel?

Pets are not allowed at any of the Sandals resorts.

What time is check-in/check-out?

Check-in is at 3:00PM. If you arrive prior to check-in, the helpful staff at Sandals will safely secure your luggage and inform you when your room is ready. While waiting, you can freely enjoy the property's amenities, as your all-inclusive vacation has already begun. Check-out is at 11:00AM, so if your flight departs later, you can secure luggage with Sandals and still enjoy amenities, like grabbing a bite to eat or sitting by the sea while you wait.

Can I stay at another hotel and attend your wedding?

Yes, but you must purchase a guest day pass for $180 per personfrom Sandals to gain entry to the property the day of the wedding.

What time should I arrive at the wedding?

Guest should arrive 15-20 minutes before the start time of the ceremony. This will allow the nuptials to begin in a timely manner and let the celebration begin.

Am I  allowed to bring my children?

Unfortunately, Sandals is an adult-only resort and is 18yrs and up. We hope this will allow you a much deserved weekend off to celebrate with us!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Sandals rooms are based on double occupancy, so you are allowed to bring a plus one.  We are at capacity with our venue which means we sadly are unable to accommodate additional guests aside from your plus one. We look forward to celebrating with you on the day of our wedding

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a buffet dinner at the reception with a selection of meat, fish, vegan dishes and salads will be served; as well as, desserts.

Am I allowed to take photos during the ceremony?

The bride and groom are so excited to share this with you. They want to be sure you can fully be present for their ceremony, so they ask that no photos or videos be taken during the ceremony. They will have professionals that will take snap shots during the ceremony. Once the ceremony is over, please feel free to take pictures!

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Yes, feel free to post pictures on your social media. Please use the hashtag #meethemcgowans

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

All of the wedding festivities will take place outdoors weather permitting. If it is raining at anytime during the ceremony, cocktail hour or cocktail hour the locations will be moved to an indoor space.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the wedding party and couple will be taking pictures on the beach and Sandals property for around an hour. Guest will walk over the beach area where we have light hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.

Will you be live streaming your wedding?

Unfortunately, the wedding will not be live streamed during any part of the wedding day festivities.
