Our story goes back beyond any relationship, or any shade of ties that felt romantic. Two young kids trying to find themselves in college was all that was important at the time. Poverty, stress, new paths and growth consumed everything around us. With the alignment of the stars, we were brought together, a friendship was born, and we became each other's comfort and support. 

The Beach was our escape and light in our situations at the time. Often spending time talking for hours and hours about our dreams, goals, and whatever came to our minds. Who knew that we would end up being fully integrated in one anothers goals and future. Life right?? Every day we spent together got away from us too fast before realizing we had to part ways again until the next time.

Eventually, we ended up living our lives away from one another once uncle Sam called Shakayla. But through it all, we kept our friendship in tact before coming back together again years later. We re-connected like we were never separated by the oceans we once spent the most time together on.

God has a way of bringing back those who are meant to be in your life, and we truly believe that is exactly what happened with us. Although the journey we share is far from perfect, it is perfect and something that I believe we would do ALL over again.
