Although Travia and Mark lived and attended schools in Inkster all their lives, they formally met in the summer of 2018.  After spending quality time together, they pursued a much more serious relationship.  
 
In the spring of 2019, tragedy struck, and Travia lost her baby boy Trevon.  Travia and Mark endured tremendous loss and pain that they would not wish on anyone.  Then the pandemic occurred, and they were left to process grief while in quarantine. The grief and isolation galvanized their commitment to one another, despite many challenging days.  
 
By 2021, their relationship was so strong, that Mark asked Travia for her hand in marriage.  Mark was convinced that she was the ONE and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.  On cue, Travia accepted.  The next step was to plan their ceremony.  Then in 2022, Mark lost his first love, his mother Geraldine.  As grief struck again, their love and support for one another grew.  
 
So…here they are in 2024, ready to profess their eternal love and share their unity with Ms. Sandra K Hutson, (Ms.Geraldine Griggs in love and spirit), Mr. Trevor Freeman Sr., and a host of family and friends.  The highlight of this day is for Travia to have her eldest son, Trevin, walk her down the aisle to accept Mark’s hand in Holy Matrimony.
