FAQs

We thought you might appreciate a few guidelines:

Q. What day should I arrive?

A. Ideally, by or before Tuesday, April 16.  Celebrations will begin that evening and extend until Friday evening. Please see the "Schedule of Events" tab for more information.

Q. What time should I arrive to the chapel for the wedding ceremony?

A. We recommend that you arrive at least 20-30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled.  Additionally, your suites will be an approximate 8-10 minute walk to the chapel (depending on your specific suite locations) so feel free to plan accordingly.

Q. What is the dress code for the Wedding?

A. Resort Elegant.  Jackets, ties, and dress heels are definitely not required.  However, we also thank you in advance for RESISTING the urge to sport even your most stylish board shorts, rompers, flip-flops, Keds, golf polos, and "Hawaiian" shirts. :-)

Accordingly, ladies may want to think along the lines of breezy and breathable options like midi or maxi length sundresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates, and strappy slides or sandals.  Men may want to think about light separates, short-sleeved button-down shirts, or summer suiting in materials like cotton, seersucker, or linen, and “Fishermen", Huarache, or similar types of dressy sandals and slip-ons.

*LADIES' SHOE ALERT* - The ceremony will take place in an open-air waterfront chapel but other celebration events will take place on less even surfaces (i.e., some on a garden turf lawn and others directly on the beach).  Furthermore, because suites are spread out on the property, your "commute times” between venues and resort restaurants can be 5-10 minute walks from one another, you might want to pass on the stilettos! :-)

Q. Is there a dress code for the Cap Estate golf course?

A. Yes - collared polo shirts for men, golf shorts, no denim, proper golf shoes, etc.

Q. Is there a dress code for the other planned events associated with the Wedding?

A. Resort Chic.  Lightweight dresses and separates including dress shorts and capris. (But no blue jeans or "athleisure"/yoga wear please). And remember to pack accordingly for our Friday Night "All-White" Party!  :-)

DO feel free to pack athletic or denim wear for other activities and excursions that you might be planning to attend outside of our specific wedding events.

Q. Are there any other attire guidelines to be aware of?

A.  St. Lucia in April typically sees highs of 87 degrees in the day and lows of 74 degrees at nights, with little risk of rain showers.  The resort is located right on Rodney Bay so ladies may appreciate a wrap or shawl for late-night events outdoors.  ***PLEASE NOTE that it is ILLEGAL to wear or carry any kind of army/camouflage prints in St. Lucia (like on many other Caribbean islands) and regardless of the array of colors that are commonly en vogue for such apparel (I.e., blue, pink, etc.).

Q. Will there be any special dietery options for the dinner reception?

A. Yes - please indicate any special needs and/or dietary restrictions in the designated space for this information under the Menu Selection section of the RSVP tab on this website.

Q. Can we post wedding photos on our social media sites?

A.  We look forward to you taking LOTS of photos and videos.  However, as our it le of friend likely knows, we are not social media-inclined so we appreciate your willingness to ensure that all photos and video clips of us on our special day (and related events) are taken solely for your - and our - personal enjoyment.

Q. What drinks, meals or activities should we expect to pay for during our stay in St. Lucia?

A. Sandals is an all-inclusive resort so everything - including liquor, all meals, snacks, tips, and many activities - including scuba diving and green fees for golf - is included. That’s part of the reason why we chose this destination.  With the exception of spa services or third-party vendor island excursions, everything is included in the price you pay.

Q. What travel documents do we need to travel to St. Lucia?

A. A valid passport that does not expire within 6 months of your travel date (I.e. valid until at least October 31, 2024.)
