Time to Tie the Knot!
Rachel Ibach and Adam Cranfill
Background:
Rachel grew up in Yuba City and was active in her community. In high school, she participated in Swim and Dive, Track and Field, and Cross-Country. Rachel was very active in clubs and organizations at YCHS, so she was a part of Rotary Club's youth division: Interact Club. She was interviewed and won the only spot to go to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp.
Adam grew up in Ione and was a sporty young man. He was active in Golf and Baseball, as well as other sports. He was very luckily coming from a much smaller school, so many individuals from Amador County were able to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp.
Meeting:
Adam and Rachel met on June 19th, 2016. Adam had just turned 17 on June 9th and Rachel was 17, as well. They were both attending RYLA And we're lucky enough to be placed in the same group. They were instantly smitten with each other and talked about each other to other campers the entire week. Their team, the Spunky Foxes, were a group of people from all over Northern California, but mostly from Amador county. It was mere hours after Rachel returned home that Adam would reach out to her and ask when they were going to see each other next.
Dating:
Adam and Rachel's first date was on August 13th at the Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento and lasted over 4 hours. It was only two weeks later on August 27th, when Adam and Rachel would share their first kiss in the parking lot of a IHOP in Roseville and would decide to go steady!
Rachel and Adam dated through their senior year of high school and throughout college. They both attended California State University of Sacramento and only got to experience one semester of going to school together in the Fall of 2019, before COVID began. They graduated in June of 2021 and moved in with each other four months later!
Living Together:
Adam and Rachel lived together on Patricia Lane in Sutter Creek for nearly a year. Their favorite thing to do was to go to Sacramento for fun! Soon enough, Adam and Rachel moved to Sacramento. It was only 5 months later that they adopted their beloved first rabbit, the Grand Magistrate Peepis, also known as Mr. Peep. Of course they could not have only one, so only 4 months later they adopted the one pound wonder, Peppermint Patty Poopis. They now live quite happily together with both rabbits in a charming part of Sacramento.
