FAQs

What is the hotel/venue like?

You can find everything you need to know about the venue here on their website: https://www.sandals.com/grande-st-lucian/

What will the weather be like?

The average weather in October is 30 degrees so pack your sun cream, sunglasses and a hat! There is a chance of intermittent showers, but this can help you cool down during the hot weather. This is the best month to go to St Lucia for whale watching – so maybe we should book an excursion!

What is the dress code?

We are on holiday so pack your shorts and t-shirts and don’t forget your swimwear! For the wedding day itself, the dress code will be smart/cocktail but we've got no problem if people want to change into something more semi-casual later on for dancing ;)

What is the itinerary?

This can be found in the top menu bar under the 'Wedding' called 'Schedule of Events'

What time should i arrive?

We recommend that guests arrive 15 minutes or so before the official ceremony start time so you can get settled before it begins.

How do i get to the venue if i'm not staying at Sandals Grande?

If you are staying in another Sandals hotel on the island, there are free shuttle buses available - please discuss with your hotel reception when you arrive and they will be able to advise on the bus times. If you are staying in another resort, we would reccomend a local taxi ride which your hotel should be able to provide details for.

When is the RSVP deadline?

We are delighted that you have already RSVP'd to join us in St Lucia but we still need your dinner choices so please navigate to the RSVP page to submit.

Will there be food and drink provided?

Yes, it isn't a wedding without food and drink! All drinks will be included throughout the day/evening including canapes at the cocktail reception, a four course evening meal and wedding cake to finish. For the main meal, we have a group chosen starter and salad but you can choose from a selection of two main courses on the RSVP form.

If you have any food allergies please let us know when submiting. If you are GF you will be able to select from a different menu so please reach out and we will provide you with this.

(We don't believe we have any vegeterians or vegans joining us so we've not included an option for this in the main meal selection, however if you are we can cater for you no problem - please let us know)

Do you have a wedding gift registry?

You’re already giving us the greatest present of all, simply by being there for us on our wedding day. However, if you absolutely insist, the next greatest present of all would be a contribution to our honeymoon or a John Lewis gift voucher.

Will there be any other events to attend during the wedding week?

We appreciate everyone is on holiday so we want to keep the week relaxed and open so everyone can enjoy their time on the island how they wish. We will be looking to do an excursion on one of the days which you're all welcome to join us on and Elliott will be looking to organise a round of golf but noone is obliged to attend.

Please find here details for the excursions:
