Alana and Ezra first met in college at East Carolina University in 2012. It was a cool October Wednesday night and Alana was studying when her friend convinced her to go to a bar downtown. Ezra happened to be attending an event at the same bar Alana and her friend decided to go to. Ezra saw Alana and eventually built up enough courage to go talk to her. At the end of the night, Alana and Ezra exchanged phone numbers and they went on their first date several days later. Within a month, Alana and Ezra were officially a couple. Alana fell in love with Ezra's optimistic, easy-going, and fun-loving personality as well as his sense of humor. Ezra loved Alana's beauty, intelligence, and adventurous personality. They remained together and in love throughout their four years at ECU.

One year later, they moved to Charleston, SC for Alana to attend perfusion school. After completing her didactic year, she attended clinical rotations in various locations across the southeast. During those 10 months, they traveled together across four states in a travel trailer with their two dogs and cat.

The couple now lives in Durham, NC where Alana works as a Perfusionist at Duke University Hospital and Ezra as a Portfolio Analyst for an investment company. They bought their first house together in 2021. Ezra proposed to Alana during a backyard picnic at their house on Alana’s birthday. After 11 years together, they could not be more excited to officially tie the knot. In their spare time, the couple enjoys gardening and landscaping at their house, DIY house projects, cooking, adventures with their beloved dog Mila, and outings around town with their friends. They also have a special interest in real estate and bought their first rental property last year.
