After 19 months* of playing phone tag, exchanging social media messages & surviving the first months of a global pandemic, the couple had their first official date at Torta Express taco truck in July 2020.
*Fun fact: Doneisha's mom introduced them and always asked when the first date would happen!
Since then, the two have enjoyed traveling to exciting locations (their favorite place to visit is Savannah!) and chasing after their dog Sinatra. You can often find the pair exploring bookstores and museums or trying new restaurants.
On their most recent adventure to Houston, Devonte' surprised Doneisha with a ring in bed - just like in the movie, "Diary of a Mad Black Woman"! With a tearful smile, Doneisha happily said yes.
