Our Story

Back in 2018 Toni and Paul would exchange a few brief greetings in local bars through her sister Sydney and mutual friends. One night Paul sat down next to Toni and refused to move for an entire night, talking her ear off and asking anything to keep the conversation and night alive. By the end of the night, he met her other sister Corinne for the first time, introducing himself as her future brother-in-law. 

A short time later the two went on their first date ice skating. Paul was nervous because he had never ice-skated before and Toni was hysterically laughing at the idea of Paul falling. They sat by the bonfire that night with drinks and talked for hours and hours again, effortlessly. 

After that first date, they knew they had something special. 

They have been together ever since that night and have grown to love each other more each day. They have a fur-son named Yogi who is the best (and most spoiled) boy in the world. They love to cook together, be around each other's family and friends, travel, and visit their favorite local spots for drives, walks, and relaxing sunsets. 

Their cherished "location," where Paul initially asked Toni to become his girlfriend, resided on the shores of Fortescue, NJ. They frequently embarked on drives there to watch the sunset after work.

After a few years had gone by they went to revisit Fortescue Beach to celebrate their anniversary. They walked along the beach and collected seashells throughout the evening. Toni's attention was caught by a very large, shiny shell. Upon lifting it up, she flipped it over and she saw the words, "Will you be mine, forever?" In that very moment, Paul dropped to one knee with a ring in his hand. While nervously attempting to articulate his love for her, Toni's mind was overwhelmed with excitement and shock, barely registering his words. She simply nodded in disbelief until finally shouting "Yes!"

A year and a half from that night, they will be tying the knot in Jamaica! The future Fidler’s are so excited to share and celebrate this special day with their family, friends, and loved ones.
