Our happily ever after....Let us take you back almost exactly 11 years ago in June of 2004, we met at a wedding. As it turns out, what an appropriate place to meet for the first time. Over the years we developed a friendship and kept in touch which would eventually be the foundation for our love story. One could say our relationship is the best unexpected surprise life has ever sent us.  We often go for long walks around the park by our home and talk about how blessed we both are to have found each other in this new light. We talk about all the things we have in common from Duquense University, our zest for life, how we admire our families and tell lots of stories about all of our friends. Above all we simply love to make each other smile and believe in a simple life together. We both believe that somehow, someway different parts of our lives were stepping stones for our relationship today and that our friendship has truly been our rock. As we all know timing is everything in life and we are so thankful that our paths crossed in a different way this time around. Who would have ever known that after a simple call to say hello that we would be spending the rest of our lives together?  We knew one thing for sure that from our first kiss that we would share something very special, and yes we still get butterflies to this day too. We both could only dream that someday we would find our happily ever after, and our dream came true. Often we leave little notes for each other, celebrate our monthly anniversaries with cards and little surprises, call and text like teenagers, and always tell each other "I love you". We only have one regret...we wish we would have met in kindergarten...but we know that life had a greater plan for us. It has been said if it is something worthwhile than it is worth waiting for. Thank you all for reading about our story, and we believe the best is yet to come. We are extremely grateful to know that Cupid was a great shot...must have been all those years of practice waiting for us.

The night of the proposal is absolutely our most memorable day together so far...
I just knew it would be important to Chandley to have both our families there for the big question! So we got all dressed up and had reservations made for the LeMont on Mt. Washington in Pittsburgh. Little did she know that we would be surprising her with our families and would be secretly video taping the evening as it unfolded...
When we arrived at the LeMont and Chandley saw my parents, her Mom, both our sisters and husbands, and all the nieces dressed up and smiling, I'm sure she may have suspected something was up! We all then got a great picture in front of the window with the city lights in the background. In the middle of our picture, I stopped and said "There would be only one way to make this picture better" and dropped to one knee in front of our families and the whole restaurant and asked Chandley to marry me! Speechless is an understatement and the "family picture" was actually recorded on our phones! I was told the night was absolutely perfect by Chandley which warmed my heart. Many thanks to our families for being a big part of our most special night together.

We are excited to share our special day with you on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Springwood Manor.  Although this century old estate is just minutes from Pittsburgh, it is situated on 60 acres of natural scenery.  The magnificant Glass Atrium will house both the ceremony and reception.  A cocktail and hors d'oeuvres hour following the ceremony will allow for this amazing transformation.  A shuttle service will be provided to transport you roundtrip to Springwood if you are staying at the hotel.  We are hoping for fresh snow to compliment or Winter Wonderland theme.  We will be honeymooning to Negril, Jamacia to continue our wedding celebration!

Travel accomodations are provided by Comfort Inn Conference Center Pittsburgh East.  A block of rooms are reserved under Hephner/Schlieper at a discounted rate.  Room rates include a breakfast buffet, complimentary parking and shuttle service to and from the hotel to Springwood Manor for ceremony and reception.  Room reservations must be made by December 18, 2015.
