Our story began in 2006 at Steak and Shake, where we both worked together. At that time, we were just coworkers. It wasn't until about a year later that TJ invited Jessica over to his place for a 4th of July BBQ. Though Jessica was still hesitant, TJ's persistent behavior continued to impress and woo her. She decided to take a chance with him, and we continued dating for several months. From then on, we began falling in love. About a year later, we moved down to Kent together where Jessica would begin nursing school, and TJ would begin paralegal school. Over the last three and a half years, we have grown so deeply in love! We are best friends and each other's better halves. TJ proposed to Jessica on the morning of December 25, 2010. TJ handed Jessica one of the last remaining presents under the tree to open. In it was a snow globe from Things Remembered with a big engagement ring inside and engraved with, "Jessica, I am so deeply in love with you. We have been through so much, and you have been my everything. Now, I want to make you my wife. Will you marry me?" When Jessica looked over to TJ, he was down on one knee with a real ring in his hand and asked if she would marry him! Of course she said yes!! Later that evening we had planned to cook for members of both our families for the holiday. Since everyone but Jessica knew about the engagement, the planned dinner soon turned into an engagement party celebration. We're eagerly looking forward to beginning this new chapter in our lives that will begin with our wedding on June 23, 2012! |
Our wedding day is set for Saturday, June 23, 2012. The ceremony will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church. It will be beautiful and elegant. In no time we will be walking down the aisle and be announced as Mr. & Mrs. Taurean and Jessica Shattuck! Following the "I do's", our reception will be held at Sammy's in the Flatts. Known for their exquisite catering, Sammy's will have a delicous buffet set up with drinks to go around. We are also so priviledged to say that Dominick Farinacci and his quartet will be performing as well! Our wedding day will be an event to remember and we are so excited for you to join us! |
