We begin on a cool Sunday afternoon in February on Super Bowl Sunday two years ago.  I was expecting to just be watching the Colts and Saints play for Super Bowl victory, but little did I know I was about to meet my future husband, Chris.  He was quiet at first but once he and I were introduced to each other, we chatted like we were long lost friends.  Unfortunately halfway through the game he left.  Later that week I was asked to be friends by Chris on Facebook.  We chatted back and forth and for the longest time but couldn't get together.  When we finally met up, he promised that we would be getting together with a bunch of other friends, but to my surprise it ended up only being us two.  We spent our first date at our favorite hangout 'Dukes' talking the night away.  I went home that knowing that this relationship would be something special.

The weekend before I started my second semester of nursing school, Chris suggested that we go away to Sedona so I could relax.  We drove up on a wet rainy Friday night and made our way to our rented casita at Los Abrigados Resort.  Chris had planned two dinners that weekend, one being very fancy and nice, and the other being laid back and casual.  I dressed for the casual dinner that night.  While getting ready, I noticed that Chris was much more fancy than I was and he convinced me to dress up. He then left the room and went on the balcony and waited for me to finish dressing. He then yelled for me and said that he had a present for me on the balcony.  I went outside with him and noticed a red box on the table.  I opened the box and much to my surprise it was empty...so Chris-like.  I looked at him very confused and that is when he got down on one knee and said, "you put up with me better than anyone else could, do you want to deal with me the rest of your life?"  I said of course and he then placed a gorgeous purple sapphire on my finger.

We have planned to have a romantic style wedding at beautiful Stonebridge Manor in Mesa, Arizona.  The ceremony will take place February 10th on my birthday.  We plan to have a short afternoon ceremony followed by drinks and appetizers then dinner.  We hope that we have the most amazing mix of music and the best mix of people to join us in celebrating our union.
