 | After a few months of dating I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Nakita. So my next steps was to subliminally pick at her to see how she felt about marriage, if she was to get married where would she get married at and what type of rings she liked. Trust me, sometimes it is not easy asking Nakita questions without her asking “why”. After getting all my answers and finding the perfect ring, I began thinking of a way to propose. I knew I wanted it to be quiet and personal but something she would always remember so I thought (ha ha) she loves margaritas so we’ll go to margaritavillle at the navy pier…quiet, simple with a little romance. Nakita had a bad weekend so that Monday morning May 23, 2016 I told her I wanted to take her out and cheer her up, she was dragging but eventually she agreed to go. My plan was to propose in margaritaville but it was a little more crowded then I thought so I decided to go for a stroll after dinner and pop the question then. Once I found a nice quiet spot with a nice view of the skyline we stopped and we both stood there looking. Nakita was standing in front of me so I quietly took the ring out my pocket and made a comment to get her to turn around and when she did I asked her would she promise to be mine for the rest of our lives by marrying me….. |
