Jaime and Latwan were introduced to each other at a birthday party in 2007. A mutual friend, Monica Grayson, Jaime’s co-worker and the wife of Latwan’s best friend recognized that these two would have a lot in common and that there could be a “spark”.
The couple hit it off right away and talked throughout the evening. They stayed in touched and soon it became apparent how much they wanted to be with each other as Latwan traveled to see family for a week in Arkansas. Jaime stated that it seemed as though it “took forever” for him to return.
When they saw each other again, they were inseparable. They traveled frequently together to Santa Cruz, Jamaica, San Diego, the lake and quad rides. This couple was nothing short of exciting!
A year later the two moved in together. Living as a happy family with Jaime’s two children, Paiton and Taelyn, eventually they added one more to their Brady bunch: Brooklyn Ke’mya Ross.
On thanksgiving weekend 2009, after giving him the precious child he loves so much, Latwan felt as though it were time to ask Jaime to be his wife! In a room filled with Jaime’s family, Latwan knelt on one knee and told her that “he couldn’t imagine ever living without her”. There was not a dry eye in the house.
Of course Jaime responded with a yes and today there are plans in the works for a beautiful wedding in Fresno this year with a honeymoon in the Bahamas! The family still spends every available minute together and is still as exciting as ever! |
