First of all, lets just say Jonathon is not very good at surprises.I know he tried very hard, because he did keep every detail of the day a surprise but by the time I was blind folded I figured the proposal was coming. To start off the day, he had the entire family come up for a BBQ. Once the BBQ was over, we went on a date night that he had planned a month before. For this date night, we went and bought new outfits per Jonathons request.
So we went to The Melting Pot for dessert, because we were both full from the BBQ earlier that day. After that, he wouldn't tell me where we were going. We drove for about fourty five minutes. We reached down town Seattle, and he blind folded me. I was blind folded for about ten minutes while we drove. Once we got out of the car though, I could not walk with the blind fold because it was a long distance and many steps. So he told me we were going up the Space Needle. We both have never done this before, so I was very excited.
We walked around for a while enjoying the view, and then he told me to close my eyes and he will guide me to where I needed to be. When I opened my eyes he was down on one knee holding a ring box. Both of our families were circled around us, as well as hundreds of strangers taking a lot of videos and pictures. I did not notice everyone until after the moment was over. I heard him say nervously " Will you marry me?" I of course, started to cry and said yes. The funniest thing is; he reached for my right hand to put the ring on. He finally got the ring on the right hand and we took lots of pictures and enjoyed the view and the moment.
That night, I felt like we were a famous couple. He thought of everything. Having my entire family there to witness and share this moment made it very special and I wouldnt have had it done any other way. |
