The coastal town of Gouyave is predominantly a fishing community with a close connection to the sea. Each Friday evening, two streets are pedestrianised, grills are fired up and the music starts pumping, as the town prepares to host its famous Gouyave Fish Friday event. Popular with locals and visitors alike, this lively street food extravaganza offers a taste of authentic Grenadian fish and seafood. Enjoy delicious grilled fish, shrimp kebabs, lobster (when in season) and much more. Wander through the stalls before deciding what to purchase and watch the friendly vendors preparing their dishes.
