Yes, passports are required to travel to the Bahamas. What does couples resort mean? What if I do not have a plus one to bring?

A couples-only resort offers an intimate and personalized experience for you and your partner. When you book your room, you are required to put two names on the reservation; however, you are able to change the name once as long as it is 60-days before arrival. If you do not have a significant other, we recommend bringing a close friend or family member. This is a great opportunity to strengthen your bond with one another.

Is there a requirement for how long we stay?

Yes, there is a 3-night minimum for room reservations. We recommend booking your room Thurs.-Sun. (Oct. 10-13) or Fri.-Mon (Oct. 11-14). You are also welcome to stay longer to make the trip your vacation!

What does all-inclusive mean? Do we pay for food, drinks, and activities?

All-inclusive means everything is covered by the cost of your room including food, drinks, airport transportation, and events. The only exceptions include resort merchandise or premium services. For more information about inclusions, please see the Sandals website at https://www.sandals.com/all-inclusive/what-is-included/.

How do we book our stay for the wedding? Is there a code?

We recommend booking your stay over the phone with our wedding agent, Ketisha (Eva) Louison at 1-877-726-3257 EXT: 7866. She will be able to assist you with all booking questions along with any additional discounts. When booking please use the wedding code WG23164430. To review room options and prices prior to booking, go to https://www.sandals.com/royal-bahamian/rooms-suites/.

How soon can we RSVP? Do I need to notify the bride and groom?

We ask that you RSVP after you place a deposit on a room. You can RSVP on this website under the wedding tab. You will be asked to complete a short questionnaire including your plus ones information, meal preference, and any food allergies. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

What’s the earliest I can arrive at the resort? Is there a check-In time/ Check-out time?

Your room check-in time is 3:00 pm; however, if you arrive early, the resort staff will safely secure your luggage and deliver them to your room when it is ready. While you are waiting, you are able to enjoy everything the resort has to offer. The check-out time is a 11:00 am, just leave your bags outside your room door. They will be delivered to your airport shuttle. If your flight departs later, the resort staff will secure your luggage until you depart. Easy-peasy.

Do we have to go through customs upon arrival?

Yes, you will need to go through customs when you arrive and depart from the airport. Upon arrival, there will be tables with paper copies of the required custom form, which takes about 5 minutes to complete. The form asks for your contact, resort, and flight information. Unless you purchase a significant amount of merchandise while in the Bahamas or carry valuables while traveling, you will not need to declare anything when going through customs. For more information about customs, please see the following website: https://www.bahamascustoms.gov.bs/.

How will we get from the airport to the resort and back?

Airport transportation is included when you book a room at Sandals Royal Bahamian. The shuttle service begins at the Sandals kiosk in the airport. After customs, follow the signs to the Sandals desk where an attendant will ask for your name and resort location. Afterwards, they will direct you to the shuttle, which runs every 30 minutes. Your bags will be loaded into the back and enjoy a short (15 min.) drive to the resort. Once at the resort, the staff will direct you to the lounge area where you will experience a brief welcome and orientation speech. Your bags will be delivered to your room. It is a seamless transition.

What is the dress code for the wedding? Can we dress tropical/ casual?

The general dress code for the resort is causal by day and elegant by night. During the day, feel free to soak up the sun and lounge in shorts, tank tops, swimsuits, sun dresses, and sandals. While in the evening, you will need to change into something more elegant for dinner. For men, evening attire means long pants (jeans included), closed-toe shoes, and a button-up or polo shirt. For women, evening attire includes dresses, rompers, or jeans with a nice top and heels, wedges, or dressy sandals. For the wedding, we recommend following the evening attire guidelines with the exception of shoes. Our wedding party will be shoeless in the sand, and we welcome you to enjoy the sand between your toes with us!

Are there any parties or celebrations upon arrival to the wedding?

Yes, a welcome cocktail party is scheduled for the day prior to the wedding on Oct. 11, 2024. Guests will be able to “get to know” each other and mingle with the bride and groom. More information regarding the time and location to come.
