Sandals is an All-Inclusive Resort for those 18 years and older.

 

Do I need a Passport?

Yes! A passport is required to travel to Jamaica. If you need to renew or obtain a passport, please start the process ASAP as it can take up to 12 weeks to receive your passport in the mail. 

Q&A — Jamaica Wedding Update

Why was the wedding location changed?
Jamaica experienced an unexpected hurricane that affected our original resort. To ensure the best possible experience for everyone, we decided to move the wedding ceremony to Sandals Dunn’s River while keeping the same travel dates.
Are the travel dates the same?
Yes! All travel dates remain exactly the same. No one needs to change flights or adjust their schedule.
Where is everyone staying?
Most guests will be staying at Sandals Ochi, which is close to Sandals Dunn’s River. Transportation will be arranged for the wedding day.
Where will the wedding take place?
The wedding ceremony and celebration will take place at Sandals Dunn’s River.
Did anything change with my room?
Yes — you received a complimentary upgrade to the next room level, based on availability. Your updated room category is shown on the invoice attached to your email.
What if I have an issue with my room assignment?
Please contact Eric directly to discuss any room concerns.
Can I upgrade my room further?
Possibly! If you’d like to upgrade your room or request to stay at Sandals Dunn’s River, please contact Benny. Upgrades depend on availability and any rate difference would be your responsibility.
Will the resort be fully operational after the hurricane?
Yes. Jamaica is moving quickly through recovery efforts and Sandals is prepared to welcome all guests. Tourism is an important part of supporting the local community.
Is there transportation for the wedding day?
More information will be shared closer to the date, but transportation will be organized to and from Sandals Dunn’s River for the ceremony.

How do I Book?

While we are now outside our window of being able to hold a room block, rooms at the resort may still be available and our travel agent may still be able to negotiate wedding discounted rates. *Do NOT book your room through Sandals' website yourself. Please use our travel agent*

Our travel agent will gladly assist you with all your travel needs. If you RSVP 'Yes,' please contact Benny ASAP to place a hold your room. Benny can help you choose your room and dates of stay; obtain travel insurance, VIP fast track arrival and departure, private transfers from and to airport, and flights if interested; and communicate any dietary restrictions to the resort, etc.

*When contacting our travel agent to secure your room, please provide the following information to expedite your booking:

    1    Full Name (exactly as it appears on your passport, including First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name).

    2    Room Category or Categories you’re interested in (Luxury, Club, or Butler)

    3    Check-in and Check-out Dates.

    4    State of Residency.

    5    Date of Birth.

    6    Relationship to the Second Traveler (if applicable).

This information is also needed to provide a quote for the travel protection plan, which we highly recommend adding—because we did!

What airport should I fly into?

We recommend flying into Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay as there are more direct flights to this airport. You may also fly into Ian Fleming International Airport (OCJ) in Ocho Rios.

How long should I stay?

Sandals requires guests to stay for at least 3 nights at the resort. However, we suggest staying at least Thursday-Monday (3/12-3/16) for adequate time to relax and enjoy yourselves! 

 

What is included in the price of this All-Inclusive?

What will the weather be like?

In March, daytime temperatures often reach 84 degrees F. Nighttime temperatures usually dip to 73 degrees F. Keep in mind, it will be humid.

 

Is there a dress code?

Sandals specifies wearing resort casual by day and resort elegant by night.

*Pants, collared shirts, and closed toe shoes are required for men to wear to dinner at the following restaurants:

Ochi- Valentino's, Kelly's Dock Side, Kimonos, Le Gourmand

Dunn's River- Lamande

 

Ceremony/Reception: Beach Cocktail

Attire: bright or light colors, dresses, jumpsuits, dressy separates, button down shirts, slacks, chinos, khakis, ties optional

Lightweight fabrics: chiffon, linen, cotton

Shoes: block heels, platforms, wedges, dressy sandals, flats, loafers, boat shoes

Attire: floral or tropical patterns encouraged. polo shirts, linen shirts, dressy shorts or pants, dressy matching sets, flowy skirts, flowy blouses, sundresses

Are Dietary Restrictions Accomodated?

Yes. All dietary restrictions can be accomodated throughout your stay. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on your RSVP. 

 

What forms of payment are accepted?

credit cards, cash (USD and local currency), and Traveler's checks are accepted.

Please note, there are exchange bureaus at Sandals Resort. 

Recommend carrying small bills to tip luggage attendants at the airport, airport drivers, and spa employees. 

 

In lieu of gifts, your presence at our wedding is your present!

 

*Room Cancellation Policy: no fee for cancellations made by July 15, 2025. 100% of room charge will incur if room is cancelled thereafter. The bride and groom are not responsible for paying for your room if you cancel after July 15, 2025. 

We recommend travel insurance! *The Client is responsible to have an appropriate travel insurance that covers all the travel period. If the Client chooses not to purchase travel insurance, they will be required to sign a waiver acknowledging that they have declined coverage and assume all risks associated with their decision. By declining travel insurance, the Client agrees that Smile & Go Travel LLC shall not be held liable for any losses, damages, or additional costs incurred as a result of events that could have been covered by travel insurance.
