FAQs

Which resort should I stay at?

You can stay at any of the three Sandals resorts on St. Lucia (see Travel page for more info). Each stay must be a minimum of 3 nights. Regency La Toc generally has the cheapest rooms. However, there is very little difference between the resorts in both rooms and amenities, and free transport is offered between each of the resorts at multiple times a day.

Even if you choose to stay at one resort and then travel to one of the others, you will still be granted all the same services and utilites at no additional cost.

What activities are available to do at the resorts?

There is access to a wide range of activities available at any of the three resorts. These include:

- Snorkeling and scuba diving
- Watersports including paddle boarding, kayaking etc (full list on resort site)
- Tennis and beach volleyball
- Golf at the resort's course
- Fitness centers and group exercise classes
- Daily and nightly entertainment shows

There are also a number of activities available that come at an additional cost:

- Spa treatments*
- Private candlelight dinners
- Off-site excursions and tours
- Scuba certification courses

*As members of our wedding party, you receive a 15% discount on select spa services, including facials, massages and body treatments. These may need to be booked in advance.

Travel times from the airport to resorts

Airport transfers to and from the resort are included with all bookings. They run regularly and can take between 1 to 2 hours depending on which resort you choose to stay at and the time of day you are traveling. When you book your room, you should receive an email from the resort asking you to schedule your transport. You will need your airplane arrival time.

Because the main airport is in the South, and the resorts are in the more mountainous North, the trip has the potential to cause nausea. If you feel like you may require it, please bring travel sickness medicine just in case.

There are alternative transfer options available for those who are interested. This includes a ferry boat or helicoptor ride to and from the resort. These do have to be booked in advance and come at an additional cost. These can be booked through the resort as well.

Can I stay offsite?

Due to designated quidelines from Sandals, we require that all quests attending the wedding stay at one of the 3 Sandals resorts listed on the above mentioned page.

What should I wear?

Due to location and preferences, we do not have a strict dress code for our guests. Resort casual for the wedding ceremony is perfectly acceptable. It will likely be very warm, so make sure you choose something comfortable.

For the rest of the resort it is entirely casual; e.g. shorts, swimsuits, sandals, flip-flops, etc. The restaurants in the evening do require tops, bottoms and footwear as a minimum, and swimwear must be covered. A few of the restaurants have a slightly more formal dress code for dinner (long trousers or jeans for men, short or long sleeve shirts for men, and dressier shoes), but this is not required for the majority of the evening restaurants.

Are we getting married on the beach?

Although there is beach access in all 3 resorts, the ceremony itself will be conducted in an overwater chapel, which is on a short pier just above the water. You can see pictures of what this will look like in the gallery.

There is a possibility that an after wedding event will be held on the beach. You may want to consider this when picking your footwear and clothing for the day.

What else do I need to bring?

Much of what is required is supplied by the resorts themselves. This includes beach towels, bathroom amenities, etc. However, there will be some items you are either required to or may want to bring for yourself.

- Sunscreen (this is expensive to buy at the resort and will be needed. We dont want anyone getting sunburnt)
- Hats and covers
- Your own beach towels if you have a preference
- Reusable cups
- Travel pillow
- Toiletries
- Travel sickness medicine

Plug Adapters

They will have both US (two pronged) and UK (three pronged) power sockets in all of the rooms. The only converter you may need is for the lesser voltage 2 prong sockets in the bathrooms for shavers. They also include a hairdryer in every room.

Do they accommodate food allergies across the resorts?

All restaurants and eateries at the resorts (of which there are 27 in total) should accommodate any allergies or food preferences. This includes vegetarian and vegan meals. It is better that you inform the resort of any food preferences when booking your room however, so any dietary concerns are established with the resort ahead of your arrival.

For wedding day festivities, please let us know any dietary requirements when you RSVP.

Do I need to be vaccinated before going?

No vaccinations or vaccination certificates are required to enter St. Lucia. However, if you would personally like to consider any vaccinations before you travel anyway, we recomend contacting you doctor to discuss.

Remember to bring any prescriptions or medicines you may need along with you on your trip, as there is no guarantee it will be readily available in the island pharmacies.

Of course if you have any further questions regarding the wedding or your stay at one of the resorts, please do not hesitate to contact either of us directly and ask.
